Pilates for spine
(beginners, advanced)

Instructor: Nataša Nežič
Age: teenagers, adults
Time: Thursday, 16.40 - 17.40 or 17.50 - 18.50, Hall 1

Pilates for the spine is a training session for those who are already experiencing back pain, as well as for those who want to prevent such problems from occurring. At the session you will learn proper posture and exercises that strengthen torso stabilizers, improve spinal flexibility, balance and stability. In addition to reducing spinal pains, with regular and consistent exercise the strength of deep torso stabilizers increases, body posture improves, muscle tightness is reduced and mobility is increased.
More than four-fifths of back problems are due to muscles which, in the absence of activity or incorrect load, become clogged, shortened and become inflexible, which is one of the causes of pain. The body naturally adapts to the pain by adjusting the posture, movement and further limiting the natural function of the muscles. Cells do not have biological clocks, they are constantly being renewed, therefore muscle mass can be increased by regular, continuous exercise. It is also possible to increase the flexibility of the spine; only strong will, a clear goal, and action is needed. As old Taoist masters say: you are as old as your old spine is.

Pilates with tools
(beginners, advanced)

Instructor: Nataša Nežič
Age: teenagers, adults
Time: Tuesday, 20.00 - 21.00, Hall 1

With regular Pilates exercise, back and abdominal muscles are strengthened, body posture is improved, mobility is increased, energy blockages and tensions in the body are released. Pilates is based on conscious, fluid and controlled movements of the arms and legs combined with a breathing rhythm, which activates the deep torso muscles - the center of strength that supports the body posture. The Pilates method works from the inside of the body to the muscles on the surface and focuses mainly on smaller muscle groups that are incorrectly or under stressed during regular training. A special breathing system highlights the tension in the deep abdominal muscles, which reinforce the lower back muscles and as such prevent injuries and pains in the lower back. By using various Pilates tools, we enhance the exercise and increase its intensity.

Yoga pilates
(beginners, advanced)

Instructor: Nataša Nežič
Age: teenagers, adults
Time: Thursday, 18.55 - 19.55, Hall 1

Yoga Pilates is an excellent choice for those who want to feel the effects of both Pilates and yoga. Throughout the session, the elements of the two training genres intertwine with each other and provide you with an exceptional experience of both Pilates and yoga. The main difference between the two is that Pilates focuses primarily on intramuscular coordination and increasing torso strength, with the movements carried out in smooth, controlled and dynamic way, while yoga includes static movement and stretching, thus allowing additional upgrading of exercises for flexibility and physical strength. Both forms of exercise belong to the "body & mind" training programs, which are aimed at reconnecting the body and spirit.
